Paul Djobet Signs with UAB Men’s Basketball

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's basketball head coach Andy Kennedy announced the signing of Miami Transfer Paul Djobet this afternoon.
"Happy to welcome Paul to UAB. The experience he garnered over the last two years at Miami in the ACC will help him tremendously in this transition. Paul is a versatile forward capable of impacting the game in a multitude of ways."
Djobet played high school basketball at West Oaks Academy in Orlando, Florida, and Solid Rock Academy in Georgia. The West Oaks Academy graduate was a four-star recruit by ESPN and the No.14 ranked player in Florida. Djobet averaged 17.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game helping West Oaks to a state title appearance in his senior campaign. He was the Sunshine Independent Athletic Association (SIAA) Player of the Year and First Team All-State his senior year. In two years at Solid Rock, Djobet won the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) state championship and was named Player of the Year both seasons.
Most recently, Djobet was at Miami spending his first two collegiate seasons in the Atlantic Coast Conference. He played in 16 games his freshman year, making his first career start against Duke in February of 2024. Djobet played in 28 games making three starts and averaged 5.5 points and 2.6 rebounds in his sophomore season at Miami, while shooting 38% from three-point range. Scored a career high 13 points against Syracuse on February 11 last season. Totaled a career high in rebounds with seven against Stanford on January 22.
Paul Djobet joins Ahmad Robinson, Quaran McPherson, KyeRon Lindsay, Jacob Meyer, and Chance Westry as the sixth transfer portal signee to come to UAB ahead of the 2025-26 season. The Blazers have also added a pair of high school signees in Lance Carr and Salim London in addition to four JUCO signees in Evan Chatman, Ari Gooch, Dayjaun Anderson and João Das Chagas.
SEASON TICKETS
Season tickets for the 2025-26 UAB men's basketball season are now available. Season ticket packages include all regular season home games and provide the most cost-effective way for fans to attend games at Bartow Arena.
2024-25 season ticket holder renewal applications are available now through uabsports.com leading into the 2025-26 season. The men's basketball priority seating deadline to complete renewal applications is September 1, 2025. New season ticket holders can purchase by clicking here. Season parking passes are available for $120, and both seating locations and parking will be allocated based on the Blazer Boosters Priority Points System following the September 1st deadline. Premium seating is also available, including hospitality access. Fans may also request additional information by clicking here.
UAB employees and UAB Alumni are eligible to receive a 10% discount off the season ticket price by contacting the UAB Athletics Ticket Office at (205) 975-UAB1. UAB employees are also able to pay for season ticket packages through payroll deduction.
