BIRMINGHAM – UAB women's basketball head coach Randy Norton announced the signing of guard Jordan Rosier on Friday.
"We're thrilled to welcome Jordan to the Blazer family," Norton said. "She brings toughness, athleticism, and a relentless work ethic that fits perfectly with the culture we've built here at UAB. Jordan's experience and competitive fire will give us a lift on both ends of the court. Jordan is a proven prolific 3-point shooter. She's a winner, and we can't wait to get to work with her."
The 5-9 guard comes to UAB after spending four seasons at South Alabama. Rosier appeared in 20 games as a freshman with the Jaguars and averaged 3.4 points per game. For her first collegiate season, Rosier registered a season best 23 points and had a total of 67 points.
During Rosier's sophomore year, she saw action in 29 games while starting in 17 games. She averaged 4.0 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. She recorded five double figure scoring games and had 115 points, 29 assists and 12 steals.
The Tallahassee, Florida native had a standout junior campaign where she played and started in all 32 games and was the only Jaguar to do so for the 2023-24 season. Rosier registered 10.3 points per game, 2.3 rebounds per game, 48 assists, 25 steals and 15 double figure scoring games. She had a 35.8 field goal percentage and had a percentage of 38.5 from the 3-point line. Rosier led the team with 80 made threes and sits in third in program history for the most threes in a season. She also led the Sun Belt Conference in 3-pointers for the 2023-24 season.
This past season, Rosier started and played in nine games before sustaining an injury. In those nine games she tallied 77 points (8.6 per game), 21 rebounds (2.3 per game) and 17 assists.
