UAB Defeats North Alabama 4-1 in Regular Season Finale

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB beach volleyball team concluded the regular season with a 4-1 victory at North Alabama on Saturday to extend their winning streak to seven straight.
UAB registered wins on courts one, three, four and five for the victory. Courts one and three were decided in three sets, while courts four and five were straight set victories.
Jasmine Haas, Olivia Stant and Klea Sirois all increased their single season school record to 24-5 overall with their wins on Saturday. All of Haas and Stant's wins have come on Court 1 this season, while Sirois has won 12 matches on Court 3 and 12 on Court 4.
The Blazers finished the regular season with an overall record of 19-10. The 19 wins tied the single season school record which UAB set last year, and the Blazers enter the CUSA Tournament eyeing their first-ever 20-win season.
UAB is set to face UTEP in the opening round of the CUSA Tournament on Thursday, April 24 at 1 p.m. CT.
