BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's basketball forward Yaxel Lendeborg was named NABC First Team All-District in the Southeast on Tuesday. The NABC introduced a new model for its Division I district alignment this season, with schools arranged by state rather than by conference.
Lendeborg has averaged 17.7 points and 11.0 rebounds during the 2024-25 season while leading the Blazers to a 22-12 record and an appearance in the American Conference Championship game.
The forward from Pennsauken, N.J. has set UAB records in single-season double-doubles, career double-doubles and single-season rebounds. Lendeborg also ranks among the UAB career leaders in blocks (T5th) and rebounds (8th).
