BIRMINGHAM – UAB Men's Tennis dropped a tightly-contested match at Samford on Friday afternoon, falling 4-3.

The Blazers were able to capture the doubles point with wins on Court One and Court Two.

1. Noah Malige/Ondrej Valek (UAB) def. J.B. Pickard/Darcy Nicholls (SAM) 7-5
2. Conor Flynn/Hoan Mouret (UAB) def. Sandeep Mohandoss/Hayden Menon (SAM) 6-4
3. Sebastian Harrison/Victorio Sardinha (SAM) def. Jake Anthony/Juan Pablo Valdez (UAB) 6-4

In singles play, the matches were tightly contested with the Bulldogs winning four of six courts to get the win. Conor Flynn and Juan Pablo Valdez were each able to pick up wins for the Blazers. Valdez won in straight sets while Flynn was able to come back after dropping the first set.
