Women's Golf Defeats Samford in Spring Opener

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's golf team defeated Samford in a head-to-head match on Saturday at the Hoover Country Club. The Blazers posted a 296 (+8) and the Bulldogs posted a 311 (+23).
Tais Moreno won the match, shooting -2 (70). Coming in second for the Blazers was Ava Schwartz (+2, 74) followed by a tie between Chloe Ruble (Ind.) and Brooke Wagner (Ind.).
