American Conference Weekly Honors: Chance Westry

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Chance Westry was named to the American Conference weekly awards for his performances against Cleveland State and UNC Asheville.
Westry earned honorable mention, starting off the week with 31 points and eight rebounds against Cleveland State shooting 12-of-15 from the field.
He averaged 19.5 points, 6.5 assists, and 4.5 rebounds over the two-game span. He is averaging 16.0 points and 4.2 assists per game so far this season.
UAB is back in action on New Years Eve to start conference play against Wichita State on ESPNU at 3:00 p.m. in Bartow Arena.
