Hooks, Beebe named to All-American Conference Teams

BIRMINGHAM – UAB wide receiver Iverson Hooks and running back Solomon Beebe have been tabbed with postseason awards from the American Conference, the league office announced on Tuesday. Hooks, a redshirt sophomore from Pike Road, Alabama was named to the conference's Second Team while Beebe, a sophomore from Montgomery, Alabama, was named to the Third Team as a return specialist.
Hooks finished 2025 with 72 catches, 927 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns, highlighted by his 11-172-3 performance in a 31-24 upset win over then No. 22 Memphis. He recorded at least 70 receiving yards in seven of 12 games this season. He also hauled in at least five passes in nine games.
On November 22, Hooks became the first player in school history with multiple 10+ reception games in a single season. He was the first player since Roddy White to have multiple games with 10 or more receptions, and just the third player in school history to accomplish the feat.
Hooks also etched his name in the UAB record books. He finished third in single season receptions (72), sixth in single season receiving yards (927), and 10th in single season touchdowns (7).
In the American Conference ranks, Hooks was second in receptions, third in receiving yards, and tied for fourth in receiving touchdowns.
Beebe made his presence known in the return game for the Blazers in 2025. He finished fifth nationally with 600 kick return yards on 24 attempts. His 600 kick return yards are the seventh most in a single season in UAB school history. His 25.0 kick return average is tied for fourth best in a single season in school history. For his career, Beebe has 916 career kick return yards, which are the ninth most in school history.
On September 13 against Akron, Beebe returned his first kickoff for a touchdown of his career.
In American Conference ranks, Beebe ranked second in kick return yards and third in kick return average (26.1)
