Haas and Stant Advance to Sweet 16 of AVCA Pairs National Championship

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Jasmine Haas and Olivia Stant have advanced to the Sweet 16 of the AVCA Pairs National Championship with two wins on Friday at John Hunt Park.
UAB's 20th-ranked duo opened the day with a straight set victory over 45th-seeded Washington, then defeated 13-seed Cal in three sets.
The Blazers now take on No. 4 USC on Saturday in the round of 16. The winner of that match will face the winner of LSU or Long Beach State in the Elite 8.
UAB's record setting pair have advanced further than any other pair in program history. These two continue to re-write the record book and will go down as the most prolific pair in program history.
