Toth Earns AAC Honorable Mention

BIRMINGHAM – UAB women's soccer had a player receive a weekly honor, as officials from the league office announced on Monday that Anika Toth earned Honorable Mention.
Toth, a graduate goalkeeper, played a major role in helping UAB earn 1-0 wins over Ole Miss and Southern Miss. She had one save against Ole Miss and six saves at Southern Miss.
The shutouts against Ole Miss and Southern Miss now has Toth sitting at three shutouts this season, while the shutout at Southern Miss was the 10th of her career.
While at Southern Miss, Sydney Bolinger scored the lone goal for UAB, and it was assisted by Toth on a free kick. The assist marks the first of her career.
