Seb Cave Named AAC Freshman of the Year

BIRMINGHAM - Seb Cave of the UAB men's golf team was named the 2023-24 American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year, as announced by league officials on Wednesday, May 1.
Cave was sensational for the Blazers as a rookie, winning two tournaments and placing inside the top 20 six times. Cave arrived in Birmingham in September and proceeded to win the first two collegiate tournaments of his career, taking first at the Graeme McDowell Invitational and the winning the Carolina Cup.
Cave finished with a team-best 71.8 stroke average and shot 16 of his 27 rounds at or under par. He had three tournaments under par, including a career-best 206 (-10) at the Graeme McDowell.
