Beach Travels to Florence for Tuesday Matches with UNA, UT Martin

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB beach volleyball team returns to action on Tuesday, April 16, as the Blazers travel to Florence for a round-robin against North Alabama and UT Martin. First serve against UNA is set for 11 a.m. followed by UT Martin at 1 p.m.
The Blazers and Lions will be meeting for the second time in 48 hours and UAB will look for a measure of revenge after UNA defeated UAB 4-1 on Sunday. UAB will also be playing UT Martin for the second time this season and defeated the Warhawks 5-0 in Birmingham back in early March.
UAB enters Tuesday with a record of 15-12. With a minimum of six matches remaining this season, the Blazers look for four more wins to set the new single season school record for wins in a season.
Following the trip to UNA, the Blazers head to Tulane on Saturday, April 20 for matches against the Green Wave and No. 6 Cal Poly, then enter the postseason as the CUSA Tournament is set for April 25-27 in Youngsville, La.
