UAB Splits Four Matches at UNF Invitational

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The UAB beach volleyball team split four matches this weekend at the North Florida Invitational in Jacksonville.

UAB (12-8) opened Friday with a 5-0 victory over College of Charleston and followed that up with a 4-1 loss to host UNF to conclude day one. On Saturday, UAB topped New Orleans 4-1 and then suffered a 3-2 loss to Mercer to conclude the tournament.

Court 1 had a perfect 4-0 weekend for the Blazers as Arden Copping and Jasmine Haas extended their winning streak to nine straight matches. UAB's top duo now has an overall record of 15-4 this season.

On Saturday against UNO, Jessica Ennis was victorious on Court 2 and became just the fifth player in school history to reach 50 career wins, joining Arden Copping, Emma Andraka, Tressa Buckland and Sara Rishell.

Up next the Blazers return to the Sunshine State for the FSU Unconquered Invitational in which UAB will face four ranked opponents in No. 5 Florida State, No. 9 Loyola Marymount, No. 14 FIU and No. 20 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
