Men’s Golf Places Seventh at Los Vaqueros Intercollegiate

PLAYA DEL CARMEN, Mexico - The UAB men's golf team opened its spring season with a seventh-place finish at the Los Vaqueros Intercollegiate in Cancun, Mexico.
Freshman sensation Seb Cave placed seventh overall and in four career tournament he has now placed first (twice), seventh and 20th. Cave shot +4 in Mexico this week.
Fellow freshman Will Stelt notched his first career top 20 finish by tying for 14th overall at +9.
UAB moved up two spots on the final day of action by shooting a collective 292, which was its lowest round of the tournament.
The Blazers are back in action in late February at the Las Vegas Reflection Bay Invitational.
