UAB WBB Takes on Tulane in New Orleans

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's basketball team travels to face Tulane inside the Devlin Fieldhouse on Wednesday. Tip is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
The Blazers enter Wednesday's game 16-6 overall and 7-3 in AAC play, while Tulane is 10-11 on the season and 3-7 in league play. Heading into the game, UAB is tied with North Texas and Tulsa for first place in the conference.
The Blazers had three players in double figures against South Florida last Saturday, led by Mia Moore who had 19 points. Moore was 7-of-11 from the field goal range, along with Maddie Walsh who scored 18 points. Walsh was 4-of-6 from the 3-point range and led the team with 5 rebounds.
Denim DeShields scored 12 points against South Florida and is averaging 12.8 points per game and ranks fifth in the AAC in field goal percentage. In addition, Deshields is second in the league with 5.0 assists.
Offensively, Tulane is led by Kyren Whittington and Marta Galic who are averaging 15.6 and 14.5 points per game, respectively.
