BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's basketball team continues its homestand inside Bartow Arena as the Blazers host Rice on Saturday. Tip is set for 1 p.m. on ESPN+.
UAB enters the contest at 17-8 overall and 8-5 in the American, while Rice is 15-9 overall and 9-4 in league play.
Mia Moore led the Blazers against Temple with 22 points and 11 rebounds to earn her twelfth double-double of the season. For the year, Moore is averaging 9.2 rebounds per game. Maddie Walsh recorded 16 points, while Ashton Elley was also in double figures with 13 points against Temple.
Walsh has averaged 10.0 points per game and is .443 percent from the 3-point range. Moore and Denim DeShields lead the Blazers offensively with 15.5 and 12.3 points per game, respectively.
