Baseball Releases 2025 Schedule

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB Baseball team has announced its schedule for the 2025 season. The slate features 28 home games; two home games will be played at Regions Field and one home game at Rickwood Field.
This year's schedule features 19 games against teams in the top 100 in RPI last season. UAB will also play four teams that went to the NCAA Tournament in 2024.
"We're excited about the schedule we've been able to put together for the upcoming season," said Head Coach Casey Dunn. "Playing in multiple tournaments against quality opponents as well as a challenging home and road schedule will prepare us well for the challenges of the American Conference. Our goal as we go through the season will be to improve each day and to try to play our best baseball in Clearwater at the end of the year."
The Blazers open the season on the road as they travel to Charleston, SC, for the Swig & Swine College Classic. UAB starts off with Maryland on February 14. The Terrapins missed the postseason in 2024 after three straight NCAA tournament appearances and 2023 Big Ten regular season championship. The Blazers play a doubleheader on February 15 with games against Mercyhurst and Towson. The Green and Gold wrap up the weekend on February 16 against Ball State. The Cardinals won the MAC regular season in 2022 and conference tournament in 2023. All games will be played at Shipyard Park.
UAB opens its midweek slate when Alabama A&M comes to Young Memorial Field on February 18.
The next four games feature teams from the Sun Belt as South Alabama comes to town February 21-23. On February 26, the Blazers travel to Troy to take on the Trojans.
The Blazers host North Alabama in a rematch of a weekend series from last season. The Lions come to Young Memorial Field February 28-March 2.
The first of two home games at Regions Field come on March 4 as UAB hosts Auburn. The Tigers are coming off their second straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
UAB travels to Greenville, SC for the 1st Pitch Invitational from March 7-9 at Fluor Field, home of the Greenville Drive. The Green and Gold opens with a doubleheader on Friday with Michigan State and Winthrop. The following day, UAB plays Cornell, and the Blazers finish with Michigan State again on Sunday.
The Blazers return home on March 11 as they take on Alabama at Regions Field. The Crimson Tide have appeared in three of the last four NCAA Tournaments including a Super Regional appearance in 2023.
UAB's final non-conference weekend falls on March 14-16 as it travels to Murfreesboro to take on Middle Tennessee. This is the first meeting between the Blazers and Blue Raiders since UAB left Conference USA at the end of the 2023 season.
The Green and Gold will be playing at Rickwood Field on March 18 as they take on Troy for their second meeting of the season.
UAB opens AAC play at home on March 21-23 as South Florida comes to town. The Blazers took two out of three from the Bulls a season ago.
Jacksonville State comes to the Magic City on March 25. UAB has taken four of the last six from the Gamecocks since the 2022 season.
The Blazers hit the road from March 28-30 as they travel to Wichita State to play the Shockers. On April 1, UAB goes to Auburn for the return game with the Tigers.
UAB returns to Young Memorial Field from April 4-6 as UTSA comes to town.
The Green and Gold host Mississippi State on March 8. The Bulldogs returned to the NCAA Tournament in 2024, and have played in June in six of the last nine seasons.
The Blazers begin a four game road stretch beginning April 11-13 as they travel to New Orleans to take on Tulane. The Green Wave won the AAC Tournament each of the last two seasons. UAB then heads to Tuscaloosa on April 15 for the return game against Alabama.
East Carolina heads to Young Memorial Field from April 17-19. The Pirates have won the AAC regular season four straight years and have made the NCAA Tournament in each full season since 2018.
UAB travels to Jacksonville State on April 22 to take on the Gamecocks.
The Blazers begin a four game homestand April 25 as they host Rice for the weekend. Alabama State comes to town on April 29. The Blazers are 12-0 against the Hornets all time at home.
The Green and Gold begin a seven game road trip as they travel to Memphis from May 2-4. The Blazers then travel to Charlotte in the final AAC road series of the season from May 9-11. UAB took two out of three from both teams in 2024. On May 13, the Blazers travel to West Georgia for the final road game of the season. This is the first ever meeting between the Blazers and Wolves.
The final series of the season is a Thursday-Saturday series against Florida Atlantic May 15-17. The Blazers have beaten the Owls in three of their last four meetings.
The AAC Baseball Tournament is in Clearwater, FL at BayCare Ballpark, home of the Clearwater Threshers. The conference tournament will be held from May 20-25. The top eight teams will qualify to play in the double-elimination tournament.
The remaining game times will be announced at a later date.
