Women's Golf Finishes Sixth at The Judson

BIRMINGHAM – After a career-low performance by Tais Moreno, the UAB women's golf team finished sixth at The Judson in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Tuesday.
Tais Moreno led the Blazers, shooting a career-low 69 in the second round. Moreno would go on to shoot -1 in the third round, ultimately finishing in a tie for eighth place overall as an individual competitor (80-69-70 = 219, +3).
The next finisher for UAB was Brooke Wagner, who placed in the top twenty with a +8 (T16, 74-73-77 = 224). Four shots behind Wagner was Grace Sinclair, who shot 228 overall (T24, 77-77-74, +12). Closing out the top thirty was Zoe Hobbs, who had a 29th place finish overall (77-74-79 = 230, +14).
Rounding out the Blazers were Lauren Gilchrist and Chloe Ruble. Gilchrist, the grad transfer from Middle Tennessee, tied for 35th overall (81-76-79 = 236, +20). Freshman Chloe Ruble closed out UAB with a tie for 49th (81-81-70 = 22, +28).
Overall, the Blazers shot 309-300-309 = 918 (+54). Southern Miss won the tournament.
The Blazers will begin their spring slate against Samford on February 1st, 2025, at the Hoover Country Club.
