Zimmer Earns AAC Honorable Mention

BIRMINGHAM – UAB women's soccer forward Jette Zimmer earned American Athletic Conference Honorable Mention, announced by the league office on Monday.
Zimmer scored two goals for UAB in the 2-2 draw at East Carolina on Sunday. Zimmer got the Blazers on the board first in the 7th minute with an assist from Avery Berryman.
In the 31st minute the Pirates evened up the score at 1-1 before heading into halftime. Zimmer found the back of the net once again with an assist from Maiya Clark in the 65th minute to put UAB back on top at 2-1. ECU scored a late goal in the 88th minute to even the final score 2-2.
The Blazers return home to host Tulsa on Thursday, Oct. 24. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and will air live on ESPN+.
