Women's Golf to Compete at The Ally

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's golf team is set to compete in The Ally, a three-day tournament hosted by Mississippi State at the Old Waverly Golf Club, this Monday.
Along with UAB and Mississippi State, the field includes Vanderbilt, Indiana, Florida, Mercer, Old Dominion, Western Kentucky, Troy, Wisconsin, James Madison, ULM, Auburn, Jacksonville State, Southern Miss and Sam Houston.
The tournament will play 18 holes each day with a shotgun start on Monday and Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. CST. The final round is on Wednesday.
Head Coach Jesse Lawley will field a team that consists of Grace Sinclair, Lauren Gilchrist, Brooke Wagner, Zoe Hobbs and Chloe Ruble, while Tais Moreno will compete as an individual.
It has been three weeks since the Blazers last competed, placing ninth overall at the Diane Thomason Invitational. Grace Sinclair led the efforts with an eighth-place finish. Through three tournaments, Lauren Gilchrist is leading the team with a 75.3 stroke average.
