Women’s Golf Finishes Ninth at Diane Thomason Invitational

BIRMINGHAM – Led by Grace Sinclair's top ten individual finish, the UAB women's golf team placed ninth at the Diane Thomason Invitational this week at the Finkbine Golf Course.
Out of 81 competitors, Grace Sinclair tied for eighth place, shooting 75-75-76 = 226 (+10). Five places behind Sinclair was graduate transfer Lauren Gilchrist, finishing at +13 (T13).
Sinclair and Gilchrist's top twenty finishes were UAB's only inside the top 45. Tying in 47th place was Brooke Wagner (+23), followed by Ceci Lococo (+33, T74) and Zoe Hobbs (+36, T78).
Overall, the Blazers shot 315-309-315 = 939 (+75).
The Blazers return to action at The Ally hosted by Mississippi State University on Oct. 21-23.
