Jacob Zeno Named to AAC Week 1 Honor Roll

BIRMINGHAM β For his record setting performance against North Carolina A&T, quarterback Jacob Zeno has been named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll.

Zeno set a school record with 38 completions, surpassing the previous record of 33 completions which was set by John Whitcomb back in 1994.

The San Antonio native finished the game 38-of-41 for 291 yards and a career high three touchdown passes. His completion percentage of 92.7 percent was the fifth highest in American Athletic Conference history.

Zeno found 13 different receivers during the game and also added 31 rushing yards.

Zeno and the Blazers hit the road for a Week 2 contest at Georgia Southern. Kickoff from Statesboro is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
