Zakyia Weathersby Re-signs with Ferhatoglu Edremit Belediyesi Gürespor

BIRMINGHAM - Former UAB center Zakyia Weathersby has re-signed with Ferhatoğlu Edremit Belediyesi Gürespor. The team is located in the Türkiysh Province of Balıkesir in the city of Edremit, which is approximately 225 miles southwest from İstanbul.
In 34 games last season, Weathersby averaged 26.6 points per contest and 14.9 rebounds per game. She was named Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TKBL Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Center of the Year.
Gürespor begins play Sept. 22 when they take on Urla Gençlik Ve Spor Kulübü, İzmir.
GOLD CARD
Women's Basketball season tickets are available for $65 by purchasing the 2023-24 Gold Card. The Gold Card will allow you to gain access to all home events for Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer, Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Softball, and Baseball (Regions Field & Young Memorial). This card is not valid for American Athletic Conference or NCAA Championship events.
BLAZER BUDDIES KIDS CLUB
Blazer Buddies is the new official kids club of UAB Athletics and is open to all kids ages 12 and under. Blazer Buddies will receive a Blazer Buddies Kids Club ID which grants admission to all home men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, women's basketball, softball, and baseball games. Blazer Buddies Kids Club members will also be eligible for discounted tickets to the UAB football game versus Louisiana on Sept. 16 and select men's basketball games.
