Former Blazer Vendrell Re-Signs with CD Zamarat

BIRMINGHAM – Former UAB forward Angela Vendrell has re- signed with CB Zamarat. The club, based in Zamora, Spain, is part of the Liga Femenina Challenge in the second division of Spanish basketball.
This is Vendrell's second year with the club. Last season, she was sidelined with a shoulder injury and limited to 22 games.
Zamarat's 30-game season will begin Sept. 30 and lasts to mid-April 2024. On Nov. 25 Zamarat will take on Adareva, the current team of former Blazer Maria Roters.
Vendrell played with UAB from 2016-20 and appeared in 107 games, making 96 starts. She averaged 4.8 points per contest and 5.7 rebounds per game.
GOLD CARD
Women's Basketball season tickets are available for $65 by purchasing the 2023-24 Gold Card. The Gold Card will allow you to gain access to all home events for Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer, Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Softball, and Baseball (Regions Field & Young Memorial). This card is not valid for American Athletic Conference or NCAA Championship events.
BLAZER BUDDIES KIDS CLUB
Blazer Buddies is the new official kids club of UAB Athletics and is open to all kids ages 12 and under. Blazer Buddies will receive a Blazer Buddies Kids Club ID which grants admission to all home men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, women's basketball, softball, and baseball games. Blazer Buddies Kids Club members will also be eligible for discounted tickets to the UAB football game versus Louisiana on Sept. 16 and select men's basketball games.
