Ethan Hagood Named to Conference USA All-Academic Team

BIRMINGHAM – Senior Ethan Hagood of the UAB men's golf team has earned a spot on the five-member Conference USA All-Academic Team, as announced by league officials on Monday.
Hagood is UAB's lone representative on the C-USA All-Academic Team and he is joined by James Walsh (Louisiana Tech), Christian Fanfelle (UTSA), Blake Benson (Rice) and Ben Woodruff (Charlotte).
Hagood is currently a 4.0 graduate student who is on pace to earn his MBA this summer. He graduated last spring with his undergraduate degree in material engineering and carried a 3.41 GPA. He has been a member of the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll every year at UAB and was a 2020 Cleveland Golf Scholar All-American.
On the course, the Hoover, Ala. native has been a consistent force in UAB's lineup for the last five years. Hagood appeared in 37 career tournaments for UAB and finished his career with stroke average of 73.93.
Throughout his time as a Blazer, he had six rounds in the 60s and shot par or better 29 times. He was a member for the 2021 and 2022 UAB teams that reached NCAA Regionals, and his most memorable moment was shooting a 67 in the final round of the 2021 NCAA Noblesville Regionals which helped the Blazers advance to NCAA Nationals.
