FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – UAB Softball (21-21) fell in the series finale at No. 11 Arkansas (31-12) on Sunday, 6-0. The Razorbacks sweep the series, allowing only one run on the weekend.
"A series like this should help us down the road." Head Coach AJ Daugherty said, "Arkansas is a top 15 team, well-coached, and very talented. This weekend we were faced with good pitching, good hitters, and a tough environment to play in. All of that should benefit us as we look to close out C-USA-play strong. I was proud to see us apply some pressure to them through five innings in game one and again today into the fourth inning."
"We've got another opportunity to improve on Wednesday at Samford and we're excited to get back to conference-play next weekend."
