Women's Golf Ties for 7th at Tchufuncta Invitational

BIRMINGHAM - Freshman Katrina Gustafssone tied for 15th place overall to lead the UAB women's golf team at the Tchefuncta Invitational on Monday and Tuesday in Covington, La.
Gustafssone shot her best round of +2 (74) on the first 18 holes and finished 74-77-76 = 227 (+14) to notch a top 15 finish.
Emilia Smith (76-79-73 = 228, +15) was one shot beind Gustafssone and tied for 18th overall.
The Blazers tied for seventh place overall with IUPUI at +83 for the tournament.
UAB is back in action next Monday and Tuesday, March 6-7 at the Trinity Forest Invite hosted by SMU.
