UAB Bowling Finish Seventh at the Sunshine State Classic

BIRMINGHAM – Two individual UAB bowlers placed in the Top 25 this past weekend at the Sunshine State Classic where the team finished seventh overall.
Savannah Schneider (20) and Jamie Krasnigor (24) placed in the Top 25 of individual standings. Schneider bowled a season high of three 200+ games with a highest of 228, and Krasnigor bowled two 200+ games.
On Friday, the Blazers beat Emmanuel College (930-833) in match four before finishing the day 1-4. UAB played five Traditional Matches on Saturday including one against a ghost team before entering Sunday seeded in seventh place.
Sunday's format included one Traditional game where the Blazers beat Prairie View A&M (853-773) before playing two best of 4-out-of-7 Baker Matches.
Match One:
Monmouth vs. UAB – Monmouth won, 4-2
Match Two:
UAB vs. Emmanuel College – UAB won, 4-0
With the win against Emmanuel, the Blazers finished seventh overall.
UAB will look towards MEAC #2 on Feb. 18-19 in Greensboro, N.C.
