Lendeborg Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

BIRMINGHAM –Yaxel Lendeborg did a little bit of everything for the Blazers this week, averaging 14.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.0 blocks, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals over two UAB wins while shooting over 70 percent from the field.
The junior forward scored nine points and grabbed 12 rebounds while blocking three shots in UAB's win over Middle Tennessee on Tuesday, setting a career high in each category at the time to help UAB to a 58-57 win.
On Saturday against Furman, however, Lendeborg had a career performance. He scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for his first double-double while also blocking five shots, dishing out three assists, grabbing two steals and shooting 8-for-10 from the field. The 6'9" forward played 38 minutes in UAB's 92-86 victory.
