UAB Baseball Announces 2024 Schedule

BIRMINGHAM – UAB Baseball head coach Casey Dunn has announced the schedule for 2024. The Blazers will match-up against three Power 5 teams - Auburn, Alabama and Mississippi State – and will host Auburn and Alabama at Regions Field.
The Blazers open the year with a home series against Kennesaw State at Young Memorial Field from Feb. 16 -18.
Following the home opener series with Kennesaw State, UAB heads to Auburn, Ala. to take on the Auburn Tigers in a mid-week meeting on Feb. 20 for game one of a home-and-home series.
UAB returns home for their second series at Young Memorial Field against Southeastern Louisiana from Feb. 23-25 before welcoming the Alabama Crimson Tide to Regions Field for the first game of their home-and-home series on Feb. 27.
The first road three-game series of the year comes against North Alabama in Florence, Ala. from March 1-3.
Next up is a quick stop in Montgomery, Ala. to play Alabama State on March 5 for the first game in a home-and-home series, and then returning to Birmingham and playing host to UT Martin at Young Memorial Field on March 6.
The home trip is short, as the Blazers take a journey to Nashville, Tenn. to square off against Belmont in a three-game series from March 8-10, then return home for their longest home stretch of the season hosting Lindenwood in a three-game series from March 15-17, welcoming Troy for a mid-week game on March 19.
The home stand is wrapped up with the conference opener in a three-game series against Wichita State from March 22-24, and lastly a mid-week game against Alabama A&M on March 26.
UAB take a trip to Greenville, N.C. for a three-game conference series with the AAC Regular Season Champions East Carolina from March 28-30, then head back to Birmingham for the second game of the home-and-home series with Auburn at Regions Field on April 2.
The reigning AAC Tournament winners Tulane then come into Birmingham from April 5-7 for a three-game series at Young Memorial Field. Following the Tulane series, the Blazers travel to Starkville, Miss. to play at Dudy Noble Field on April 9 against Mississippi State in a mid-week game.
After Mississippi State, the Blazers travel to Houston, Texas for a three-game series against the Rice Owls from April 12-14. UAB then travels to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to play the University of Alabama on April 16 before returning to Texas to play UTSA in a three-game series in San Antonio, Texas from April 19-21.
Upon returning from Texas, the Blazers host Jacksonville State at YMF on April 23 in the first game of a home-and-home series, and close out the month of April at Young Memorial Field against Charlotte in a three-game series from April 26-28.
The month of May opens with a mid-week game against South Alabama at Young Memorial Field on May 1. Following hosting South Alabama, UAB Baseball travels to Boca Raton, Fla. for a three-game series against Florida Atlantic on May 3-5.
The Blazers stop in Jacksonville, Ala. to play against Jacksonville State on May 7 in a mid-week game to complete their home-and-home series, then host a three-game series against Memphis at Young Memorial Field from May 10-12.
To close the season, UAB plays Alabama State in the second game of their home-and-home series at Young Memorial Field on May 14, and then travel to Tampa, Fla. for a three-game series with South Florida from May 16-18.
The AAC Tournament will be held at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater, Fla. from May 21 through May 26.
