Florida Atlantic is one of the six teams that joined the American Athletic Conference this season. The teams played two nonconference games at Bartow Arena in 2003 and 2006 before Florida Atlantic joined Conference USA in 2013-14. In CUSA play, UAB dominated winning 10 of the 13 matchups.

- Aniya Hubbard, a Hoover native, was the most decorated player in CUSA last season. She was the Freshman of the Year, All-Conference Second Team, USA All-Defensive Team and All-Freshman Team along with being a five-time C-USA Freshman of the Week. She averaged 14.5 points per game and 5.6 rebounds per contest.
Key Loss
- Joiya Maddox, also a Hoover native, transferred to Chattanooga this spring. She average 9.6 points per game in her only season at FAU.

- Jennifer Sullivan is in her third year at FAU with a record of 17-43. She led the Owls to a seven game improvement from her first to second season.
