Men’s Tennis Set for Country Club of Birmingham Invite, Chattanooga Invite

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's tennis players will compete this weekend at the Country Club of Birmingham Invite and the Chattanooga Invite beginning on Friday.
Vojtech Podzemny, Juan Pablo Valdez, Ondrej Valek, and Iker Dellien will compete at the CCB Tournament, hosted by Samford, this weekend. Each player with compete in both singles and doubles.
The remainder of the roster will travel to Chattanooga to compete in the Steve Baras Invite against players from Chattanooga, Austin Peay, Lipscomb, North Alabama, Samford, and Tennessee Tech. Results and draws can be found here.
UAB last competed at the ITA Regional Championships in Auburn, Alabama, which was highlighted by the doubles pairing of Juan Pablo Valdez and Carlos Gimenez Perez reaching the semifinals. The duo earned a spot in the ITA Fall Championships on November 1 in San Diego with their performance.
