Women’s Golf to Compete at Edisto Island Invitational

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's golf team returns to action this Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 16-17, at the Edisto Island Invitational hosted by the College of Charleston at the Plantation Course.
Along with UAB and the College of Charleston, the field includes Appalachian State, Charleston Southern, East Carolina, Elon, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville, Lipscomb, Longwood, Rollins, The Citadel, Towson, Western Carolina, William & Mary and Wofford.
The tournament will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday with a shotgun start each day at 9 a.m. ET.
Head Coach Jesse Lawley will field a team that consists of Grace Sinclair, Brooke Wagner, Ceci Lococo, Anna Krieger and Tori Waters, while Ava Schwartz will compete as an individual.
It has been a month since the Blazer last competed at the Hoover Invite in which UAB tied for second place overall. Sinclair led the efforts with a third-place finish, while Wagner tied for sixth overall. Through two tournaments, Sinclair is leading the team with a 74.3 stroke average.
