The University of Alabama at Birmingham Athletics
A Letter to Blazer Nation From Coach Dilfer
1/9/2023 11:10:00 AM | Football
On behalf of my wife Cass and our entire family, I am excited to be your head football coach. I want to thank Dr. Watts, Mark Ingram, and the search committee for believing in our quest for excellence and the impact this football program will continue to have in Birmingham and the surrounding communities.
I came here to embrace the climb UAB will face to compete for championships at the highest level and earn a spot in the College Football Playoff. Our program has a strong foundation and an incredible trajectory, but it is now our collective mission to push UAB Football to new heights as we prepare to compete in the American Athletic Conference this upcoming season.
To win championships at this level, it is going to take each of us being fully invested with both resources and time to accomplish what we all believe UAB Football is capable of. Our staff, our players, UAB and the Birmingham community must relentlessly breathe fire to drive this vision into a reality. Many milestones have recently been accomplished by the UAB Football program because of your support, but there is still work to be done.
For starters, we need you in Protective Stadium for every game during the 2023 football season! I urge you to go ahead and renew your season tickets, purchase new season tickets, join Blazer Boosters, and encourage others to do the same. 2023 season ticket packages are available now starting as low as $99, and you can further your support for our student-athletes by joining Blazer Boosters with an annual membership. Fans may also review and request more information on season ticket options here. Protective Stadium is about to become the most intimidating atmosphere for our opponents and provide our team with the biggest home field advantage in the new league.
Let's get to work and make a powerful statement in 2023. With your support, we Win As One. GO Blazers!
