Blazer Sports Properties Named South Region Property of the Year

BIRMINGHAM – After a record setting year in revenue, UAB's Learfield team, Blazer Sports Properties, has been named the South Region Property of the Year.
Along with record setting numbers in revenue, Blazer Sports Properties also tallied a record number of new and total clients in 2021-22.
"Blazer Sports Properties and UAB Athletics had a fantastic year in 2021-22 and we were able to achieve record revenues for the Property," said Greg Wheeler, General Manager of Learfield/Blazer Sports Properties. "We are truly grateful for the support of many long-time partners and several brand-new partners who helped us gain Learfield's Property of the Year award. The future is bright here in Birmingham and we look forward to even greater success in the future."
UAB was one of 12 schools to win this award among Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 properties.
Along with the revenue generation and new clients, Blazer Sports Properties was instrumental in the successful launch of the inaugural season at Protective Stadium for Blazer Football.
"Greg Wheeler and his team at Blazer Sports Properties have done a tremendous job incorporating local businesses and their brands with UAB Athletics at record levels," said Director of Athletics Mark Ingram. "We look forward to the continued partnership as UAB Athletics continues to ascend leading into the 2022-23 season."
