GULF SHORES, Ala. β The UAB beach volleyball team suffered a pair of 5-0 losses to No. 15 South Carolina and No. 11 Florida Atlantic on the second day of the March to May in Gulf Shores.

In the morning match against South Carolina, Dylynn Otte and Jenna Gathright took their match to three sets, but ultimately fell short 15-13 in the decisive set.

FAU defeated UAB in straight sets in the Blazers' afternoon match.

The Blazers (5-11, 2-2 C-USA) have three matches on the final day of the March to May beginning at 7 a.m. with No. 20 Tulane, followed by playing No. 7 Grand Canyon at 9 a.m. and No. 1 UCLA at 1 p.m.
