Lusovsky and Postolka Take Doubles Crown at Country Club of Birmingham Tournament

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's tennis doubles team Michal Lusovsky and Roman Postolka took first place in the top flight doubles competition at the Country Club of Birmingham Tournament this weekend.

Voitech Podzemny finished with a record of 3-1 in singles play, defeating players from East Tennessee State, Samford and Tulane.

SINGLES
Carlos Gimenez Perez - 2-2
Wins over Bugaj (South Alabama) and Reanswong (Southern Miss).

Michal Lusovsky - 2-2
Lin (Washington) and Mohandoss (Samford).

Roman Postolka - 2-2
Wins over Hotard (LSU) and Petrovic (Tulane).

Vojtech Podzemny - 3-1
Wins over Britez (ETSU), Gray (Samford), and Jacobson (Tulane).

DOUBLES
Carlos Gimenez Perez & Vojtech Podzemny - 2-1
Wins over pairings from ETSU & Birmingham Southern

Roman Postolka & Michal Lusovsky - 3-0
Wins over pairings from Samford, Belmont, and Tulane.

The Blazers have concluded the 2022 fall slate and will return to action in the spring.
