UAB Football Host Kids Takeover Day and Guest PA Announcer Contest

BIRMINGHAM – UAB Football takes on UTSA and hosts Kids Takeover Day on Saturday, Nov. 5 at Protective Stadium. Kids Takeover Day features a Family Four Pack ticket offer for $40, free face painting and inflatables at Blazer Village, a pregame high-five tunnel for kids season ticket holders and is highlighted by the Guest Kids PA Announcer contest.
Take advantage of the Family Four Pack of tickets for just $40. These seats are available on a pre-purchase basis in the Family Zone on the north side of the stadium with a great view of the action and the Protective Stadium video board. Pre-purchase your Family Four Pack tickets here.
Kids Takeover Day fun starts at 10:30 a.m. at Blazer Village in Uptown with free face painting, inflatables, giveaways and Blazer Walk at 12:15 p.m.
Season ticket holders ages 12 and under have the opportunity to participate in the pregame high-five tunnel. Be on the field with the Marching Blazers and high-five the team in their final entrance before kickoff. This opportunity is limited to 100 kids. Reserve your spot ASAP by emailing tickets@uab.edu.
The Guest Kids PA Announcer contest is open to Blazers fans ages 12 and younger. Warm up those vocal cords and record a 15-20 second video stating your first name and your best version of the below script. Submit your video along with the information below to sportspromo@uab.edu.
Please include the following information in your submission:
"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to today's game between the UTSA Roadrunners and your UAB Blazers!"
Submissions will be reviewed and posted on the UAB Athletics Facebook page on Tuesday, Nov. 1. The video submission with the most "Likes" or reactions on the Facebook page will be given the opportunity to visit the press box in pregame and be a guest PA announcer. Voting will close and final tallies will be taken at Noon on Thursday, Nov. 3. The winning submission will be announced on Friday ahead of Saturday's game. Tickets to the game must be purchased separately.
