Kennedy Adds Josh LeBlanc, Sr. to Roster

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's basketball head coach Andy Kennedy has announced the addition of Josh LeBlanc, Sr. to the roster.
"We are excited to add Josh to our UAB basketball family," said Kennedy. "Josh is a player that will bring high-major ability to our front line. His talent to defend, rebound and play-make in our front court will add versatility to what we believe is a formidable team."
A 6-7, 230 pound forward, LeBlanc began his collegiate career at Georgetown where he played 39 games in a season and a half before transferring to LSU in December 2019.
At Georgetown, LeBlanc was a member of the 2019 BIG EAST All-Freshman team after averaging 9.1 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game. He recorded career-highs of 22 points against Howard and 17 rebounds versus Seton Hall. He posted 15 games with eight or more rebounds including six double-doubles.
While at LSU, LeBlanc shot 67% from the field in 25 games. He notched a double-double with season-highs of 12 points and 10 rebounds against Auburn. He matched his rebounding total with 10 boards along with eight points in the SEC Tournament semifinal game against Arkansas.
Overall, including his stint at Georgetown, he has played in 64 career games with 23 starts. His college averages for both schools combined are 6.6 points and 5.8 rebounds with 62 blocks and 59 steals.
LeBlanc joins Jamal Johnson, KJ Buffen, Tyreke Locure, Justin Brown, Elijah Tate and AD Diedhiou as the newcomers on the roster.
