Jess Davis Named ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award Winner

BIRMINGHAMΒ β UAB outfielder Jess Davis wasΒ named a Division I ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award Winner, as announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association on Wednesday, June 23.

Davis is the first Blazer in program history to be named to theΒ ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Team.

The Gold Glove is given to the top defensive player in each position. The final team consists of nine members β one from each infield position as well as one pitcher and three outfielders.

Starting in all 54 games for UAB, Davis compiled an impressive resume. He posted a perfect fielding percentage with 186 putouts and one assist.
