Randy Norton Announces Addition of Destinee McGhee to UAB Women’s Basketball Roster

BIRMINGHAM – UAB women's basketball head coach Randy Norton announces the signing of Arkansas transfer Destinee McGhee.
"We are thrilled Destinee chose to join our family at UAB," Norton said. "She is everything we want in our players. She is of the highest character, gets it done in the classroom and has such a bright future on the court."
The 6-foot-2 forward from Huntsville, Ala. spent her freshman season at Arkansas. McGhee played in six games for the Razorbacks in 2020-21, scoring a season-high seven points against SMU in December.
McGhee was a three-time All-State Selection in high school at Madison Academy, averaging 19 points, eight rebounds and two blocks a game. She was rated as the No. 66 prospect in her class by Prospect Nation and ranked 12th at her position by ESPN.
