BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's basketball team swept the Conference USA weekly awards, with senior Zakyia Weathersby being named C-USA Player of the Week and Caitlynn Daniels claiming C-USA Freshman of the Week honors, the league office announced on Monday.
The Blazers (8-12, 3-11 C-USA) are coming off two-game series split over the weekend at Old Dominion.

"Zakyia had an outstanding performance Friday at ODU," head coach Randy Norton said. "Her numbers speak for themselves. She is set to finish the season strong."
CAITLYNN DANIELS
Daniels made two starts in Norfolk, racking up 10 points to go with nine assists and three steals, both career-highs for the freshman, in game one.
She followed it up with an 11-point performance in game two, hitting three 3-pointers, matching her career-high.
