UAB Baseball Positional Preview: Outfielders

BIRMINGHAM — With the 2021 baseball season right around the corner, UABSports.com takes an in-depth look this year's roster. Today we are looking at the outfielders.
#3 | Caleb Floyd | Jr. | Birmingham, Ala. | Snead State CC
Floyd, a 2020 transfer from Snead State Community College, appeared in 14 games for the Blazers last season. He led the team with a .333 batting percentage on 13 hits, one homerun and four walks. Floyd played the 2017-19 seasons at Snead State where he finished his sophomore season with a .318 batting average with six home runs, 27 RBIs and seven stolen bases.
#22 | Zack Davis | R-Sr. | Kearney, Mo. | Kearney HS
Last season, Davis appeared in 15 games for UAB recording nine hits, three RBIs and five walks. During Davis' redshirt junior season in 2019, he appeared in 49 games and started in each. Davis batted .330 with a team-high 61 hits, 14 doubles, three triples and eight home runs and 49 RBIs.

Davis was named to the Perfect Game All-Conference USA Preseason team on Jan. 26. He finished the 2020 season with a .290 batting average with a team-high 20 hits, five doubles and 12 RBIs. He also swiped six bags. During his freshman campaign, Davis finished second in the country and led the conference with 48 stolen bases on the year.
#30 | Colton Schultz | Sr. | Huntsville, Ala. | Huntsville HS
Schultz enters his senior season for the Blazers. During the 2020 season, Schultz batted .290 with a team-high 16 RBIs. In 2019, he started in 54 games and led the team in hits with 65. Schultz was also top-three on the team in doubles (12), triples (3), home runs (6) and RBIs (43).
BASEBALL AT YOUNG MEMORIAL FIELD
Fans, including Gold Card holders and students, will not be permitted to attend home baseball games played at Young Memorial Field. Attendees will be limited to the player pass list and limited premium spaces.
Fans will be asked to practice social distancing and wear a mask at all times per state and county ordinance.
BASEBALL AT REGIONS FIELD
Regions Field will accommodate fans, including Gold Card holders and students, with social distancing measures in place.
Fans will be asked to practice social distancing and sit in available seats. Masks are required at all times per state and county ordinance.
BASEBALL SINGLE GAME TICKETS
General admission single game tickets will be on sale for games at Regions Field and seats on site are available in groups of up to four (4) seats by clicking here.
