Zemberyova Named to NCAA Division I South Region Third Team

BIRMINGHAM – Laura Zemberyova has been named to the NCAA Division I South Region Third Team as announced by the United Soccer Coaches.
Zemberyova was second on the Blazers with nine points and two game-winners, despite missing four matches while competing for the Slovakian National team in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup qualification. Zemberyova was named to Conference USA Second Team All-Conference and was C-USA Offensive Player of the Week twice this season.
She is the first United Soccer Coaches award recipient since Kelsey Daugherty was named to the First team in 2018.
UAB finished 2021 with seven victories and its first berth in the C-USA semifinals in 2009.
