UAB Bowling Concludes Fall Season at Hornet Classic

BIRMINGHAM – After a third-place finish at the MEAC #1 last weekend, the UAB bowling team returns to the lanes for the Hornet Classic. The three-day event runs Friday-Sunday at Brunswick Lanes in Montgomery.
Competition begins Friday morning with the teams competing in five baker-style matches at 8:45 a.m. Saturday will feature five traditional-stye matches, which begin at 9:15 a.m. On Championship Sunday, it will feature a bracket round for a best-of-seven series.
Also competing this weekend is, No. 11 Louisiana Tech, Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Emmanuel College, Florida A&M, Grambling, Jackson State, Southern and Tusculum.
The Hornet Classic marks the final event during the fall slate for the Blazers. UAB will open up the Spring portion on Jan. 28, 2022 at Pioneer Quest in Greeneville, Tenn.
