UAB Bowling Travels to Maryland for MEAC #1

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB bowling team makes the trip to Gwynn Oak, Md. for the first MEAC competition of the season, hosted by Morgan State. The two-day event runs from Nov. 13-14 at AMF Woodlawn Lanes.
Both days of MEAC #1 will be baker games. Friday will begin at 10:30 a.m. EST and Saturday is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. EST.
The Blazers are coming off an 11th place finish in a tough field at the DezyStrong Classic. UAB finished the tournament with a record of 6-7. Elise London led the way with a total pinfall of 919 and a 31st place individual finish. Katie Hurley followed closely behind with a total pinfall of 918 and a 32nd place finish.
UAB is one of nine teams competing this weekend. Joining the Blazers in the tournament is Coppin State, No. 14 Delaware State, Howard, No. 20 Maryland Eastern Shore, No. 19 Monmouth, Morgan State, Norfolk State and No. 5 North Carolina A&T.
