BIRMINGHAM – The UAB cross country team travels to Huntsville, Ala. for the NCAA South Regional Championship, hosted by North Alabama on Friday, Nov. 12.

The competition is set to take place at the John Hunt Cross Country Course with the women's 6k race scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.

The Blazers are coming off an eighth-place finish at the Conference USA Championships. Senior Agok Ayuen paced UAB with a 31st place finish with a time of 22:26.9. All-Academic Team honoree Laura Thompson finished closely behind with a time of 22:27.1 to place 32nd.

Joining Ayuen and Thompson at the Regionals is Britney Johnson, Olivia McAnulty, Lauren Robinson, Kathleen Schellman and Gracie Sears.
