UAB-FGCU Match Canceled Due to Heavy Rain, Lightning

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's soccer's Wednesday night matchup against FGCU has been officially canceled due to heavy rain and lightning in the Birmingham area.
The Blazers led the Eagles in the shot count 4-1 before play was suspended with 28:43 remaining in the first half. A lightning strike in the area caused the match to be delayed beginning at 5:45 p.m.
UAB will continue its home stretch with a matchup against C-USA foe South Carolina on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at BBVA Field.
Men's Soccer season tickets are on sale by purchasing the 2021-22 Gold Card for $65 here. The 2021-22 Gold Card will get you access to all home events for Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer, Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Softball, and Baseball (Regions Field & Young Memorial). This card is not valid for Conference USA or NCAA Championship events.
