UAB Men's Tennis Travels to Auburn for ITA Southern Regionals

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's tennis team will travel to Auburn for the ITA Southern Regionals beginning on Thursday. Seven Blazers will head Southeast for this week's ITA event held at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.
Michal Lusovsky, Chase Parker, Vojtech Podzemny, Roman Postolka, Nikola Puric, Thanos Spyropoulos and Martin Vasquez will compete for the Blazers. Parker, Podzemny, Postolka, Puric, Spyropoulos and Vasquez will open this week's action on Thursday with singles qualifying rounds.
Lusovsky, who advanced to the round of 64 at the ITA All-American Championships earlier this month, has already earned his spot in the main draw. The main draw for singles begins on Saturday.
Podzemny leads the Blazers with four victories in singles play this fall. Lusovsky and Puric fall shortly behind with three wins apiece.
The doubles main draw will begin on Sunday. The pairing of Podzemny and Vasquez has earned a team-best three victories in doubles play so far this fall.
Live streaming and live scoring for the ITA Southern Regionals will not be available, but bracket information and match times will be posted on Auburn's athletics website.
