UAB Agrees to Home-and-Home Series with South Alabama; Troy

BIRMINGHAM β The UAB football team has added additional games with the University of South Alabama and Troy University to its future non-conference schedule.

UAB and South Alabama will play a home-and-home in 2030-31, while the Blazers and the Trojans have signed two more games for 2032-33. Earlier this summer, UAB and Troy announced that they are also playing games in 2028-29.

The Blazers are finishing up a home-and-home series with South Alabama this season when UAB travels to Mobile, Ala. on Sept. 26. UAB won the first-ever game between the two schools last year in Birmingham, 35-3.

UAB and Troy have not played each other since 2014, but will have four games coming up in 2028, 2029, 2032 and 2033. Troy leads the overall series 7-5. Β

South Alabama and Troy add to the list of Sun Belt schools UAB will play in its future non-conference schedule, along with Georgia Southern (2022-23), Louisiana (2023, 2026) and Georgia State (2027-30).

UAB enters 2020 looking to win its third straight Conference USA West Division title and its second overall C-USA championship in the last three years. The Blazers return 18 starters from last year's team that won the second most games in school history (9).
